- Ms. Hafizah (GIS Department)
- Mr. Saidan Sanib (Assistant social development)
- Mr. Mohammad Hasbullah (Geo Sense 's Supervisor)
- Christian Schlodder
- Chong Khen Wei
- Norshazana Musa
- Mohd. Asyraf Mohd Said
- Mohd Asyraf Abu bakar
- Opening
- Apologies for absence
- Confirmation of previous minutes of meeting
- Matters arising
- Comments
- Mr. Abdul Rahman ask is the problem statement was followed by any facts or just self though only? He also said that we should include the agriculture sector in our scope and what is the important to use all the data requested.
- Mr. Ariff also said that our scope is actually big. Known that we have the problem of time constraint, so we should minimize our scope to smaller. For example, we should just focus to manufacturing sector only.
- The data used for our project also seems too much and we need to focus on small requirement and minimize the data requirement. For example we might not need a data about traffic frequency.
- Recommendations
- Most of data we need is available in IRDA's GIS Department. Mr. Ariff confirmed that they can give the information we need and also allowed us to work in the department to use the software available in the department.
- Mr. Abdul Rahman discussed about the difficulty level of each flagship zone in Iskandar Malaysia. He let us decide the flagship we want to focus which probably one from the five flagship zone. However, he also recommended for us to try work on the flagship C (PTP/Gelang Patah) where might be easier for us which also safe for us to do within the time given (7-8 weeks).
- Mr. Abdul Rahman also talked about the free space area (land) where we need to find out later. He recommended us to look the free space area based on the parameter such us the facilities, industrial area and etc. Next, we also might able to try to observe the satellite image from google map/google earth to see the availability of the land. It is better if we go down to the field after targeting the free space land to make sure of the land.
- Mr. Ariff reminded us that we should follow the MS1759 criteria if we want to do some data entry where we will put any information into a system or available platform in internet.
- For the data which not available in IRDA's collection, we need to find it at any city council department or any related department.
- Final decision
- Other matters
- As usual, if we need any help we should contact Mr. Saidan earlier so he can prepare anything requested.
- We can follow Ms. Hafizah to the GIS Department to get the information requested after the meeting.
- Next meeting

AGENDA
The meeting was started with a presentation from 'Foreign Worker Enclave' team and was presented by Chong Khen Wei.
Mohd. Asyraf Mohd Said and Mohd Asyraf Abu bakar from ' Community Complex' team was absent due to personal matter. So, we apologies to IRDA for any difficulties effected by their absence.
Mr. Abdul Rahman confirmed the previous meeting and did some simple explanation to Mr. Ariff who was not in the previous meeting.
Foreign worker enclave team has already come out with a program for the project. In this meeting, this team want to show to the IRDA committee about our project program. Chong is the presenter for the presentation today and we need the comment and suggestion from IRDA committee.
So far, the presentation goes well and for our next step, we need to get all the information and start to extracting the data as planned in the gantt chart. Any update can be seen in the blog and IRDA committee also can view and comment in the blog itself.
We decide to meet once a week to do some discussion regarding the project. The next meeting will be more on the data progress.
************************************************************************************
So far the meeting was good. The comments and recommendation given to us is very useful for us to understand more what we should do for our next step.
After the meeting, we went to the GIS Department to get all the data requested and most of them are available in IRDA's collection. However, there are several data was not available and we need to get it at other department such as the city council or others. So, from that we asked IRDA to provide us an authorization letter to support our reason to get the data in other department.
For today, we planned to go to a video road tour in the region of Iskandar Malaysia. We planned the route by the map and also refer to the google map.
Pray for our success and wish us goodluck!
Thank you for reading this blog and feel free to comment us.
