Here is our new progress update. 

Since yesterday (8 June 2011) we were supposed to have the second meeting with IRDA but the meeting was postponed to this evening due to some technical problem. In the meeting, we were interested to know more and detail about the two project. For example, we really want to know what kind of data will be used in the project, from where we need to get the data, to who we need to refer and more. Hopefully we really understand and get the full idea of the project proposed by IRDA after the meeting.

While waiting for the meeting session with the IRDA, we had worked on the platform for us to use in this project. The platform is map based and that is where we will share the information to all people. So far, we had try to operate several platform available in internet and have found out the advantages and disadvantages of each flatform explored.

Platform	Advantages	Disadvantages
Google Map	Can add point, line and polygon. Can save and edit after log in the account. Can write description and add attribute or image on the feature we create. Other user cannot edit our map. It can create HTML and link to our blog. Free.
Google Map Maker	Able to map a new map and edit it based on the map provided. Can add a point and polygon on the map. Can save the editing on map on our own account. Free.	Security control on the editing because people can easily edit our editing point or polygon.
Open Street Map	View the street. Free. Lots of additional information.	Cannot add a boundary.
Wikimapia	The map is easy to view. You can add point on the map. Also can create a polygon of area All of editing process can be saved after login in wikimapia. Provide an URL of the area edited on the map and can put it at any place such as blog. Free.	The surface does not look good to be used. Seems like to be just used for advertisement only.
Mapme	Can add point. Can measure distance. Free.	Can not create a polygon of area on the map.
Open Green Map	Can add point. Free.	Can not create a polygon of area on the map.

From the table, we decide to use goole map as our main base map platform because there is no much problem in using the google map. If all our reader have any good idea on the platform available to do some editing and share a information for others, then please kindly suggest it to us. We will be very appreciate it. =)
